Likely causes: a drain pump with a jammed or broken impeller, debris lodged in the tub-to-pump hose, a kinked drain hose, or a door lock assembly that no longer releases. A full tub keeps the door locked by design, so the two symptoms often arrive together.

Try this first: unplug the washer and check that the drain hose is not kinked or pushed too far into the standpipe.
